    Göteborgs botaniska trädgård eller Botaniska ligger i stadsdelen Änggården i Göteborg – på den tidigare egendomen Stora Änggården. Botaniska invigdes den 8 juli i samband med Jubileumsutställningen i Göteborg, men trädgården ansågs färdig först [1] Botaniska har som symbol en vitsippa.[2] Trädgården har två stjärnor i Michelinguidens turistguide.

    Botaniska hade ursprungligen en area av 37[3]hektar,[4] men omfattar idag hektar. Däri ingår även delar av Änggårdsbergens naturreservat, där botaniska bland annat har sitt arboretum, det vill säga sin träd- och busksamling. Den egentliga trädgården är 40 hektar stor, varav ungefär halva ytan upptas av sammanhängande planteringar. Trädgårdens naturpark och ytterområde är sedan fridlysta. År överfördes ansvaret för trädgården från Göteborgs kommun till Västra Götalandsregionen.

    I Göteborgs botaniska trädgård odlas cirka 16&#; olika arter. Ungefär 4&#; av dem odlas i trädgårdens växthus, som bland annat rymmer Sveriges största orkidésamling med 1&#; arter samt påsköträdet (Sophora toromiro), som är utrotat i naturen men har räddats kvar i kultur bland annat tack vare Botaniska trädgården

    The Gothenburg City Council took the initiative to the botanical garden in The decision was finally taken in and work started in The park was opened to the public in (the Woodlands) and in (the cultivated areas). It was first planned as "a field for experimentation and biological demonstrations, and a natur park". Stora Änggården was built in and renovated under the supervision of the architect Sigfrid Ericson in and is now used as staff residence.

    The Gothenburg Botanical Garden was inaugurated in when Gothenburg celebrated its th anniversary.

    Göteborgs Botaniska Trädgård, which opened in , has a total area of hectares and is home to around 16, plant species, of which about 4, species are kept in the greenhouses. The park area covers 40 hectares, and the total area also extends over hectares of the adjacent nature reserve Änggårdsbergen.

    In this part of the botanical garden there is a scientific collection of trees and shrubs consisting of about different species with about 6, trees and shrubs.
